Here’s how Nokia 6 (2018) compares with the last year’s Nokia 6.
HMD Global on Friday launched a new variant of its popular Nokia 6 smartphone. Called Nokia 6 (2018), the smartphone will be initially available in China starting January 10 in 32GB and 64GB storage variants, priced at CNY 1,499 (₹14,600 approximately) and CNY 1,699 (₹16,600 approximately) and in black and silver colour options.
Just like other Nokia smartphones, the Nokia 6 (2018) comes with stock OS — Android 7.1.1 Nougat out-of-the-box — and has promised an Android Oreo update.
Nokia 6 (2018) also retains OZO audio technology (for 360-degree audio experience) and dual-sight camera technology that enables the smartphone to fire front and rear camera simultaneously, also known as Bothie feature.

The new Nokia 6 comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display. It runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 630 processor clocking 2.2GHz speed coupled with 4GB of RAM. The smartphone supports expandable storage up to 128GB via a microSD card.
For photography, Nokia 6 (2018) has a 16-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, dual-tone LED flash and face detection auto focus. On the front, it has an 8-megapixel camera. The smartphone is powered by a 3,000mAh battery and comes with a fingerprint scanner located on the back. It also supports USB-Type C for fast charging.

Comparing the specifications with the last year's Nokia 6, the new version seems to be upgraded in terms of performance. The older Nokia 6 ran on Qualcomm's lower-end Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM, compared to new one's Snapdragon 630 and 4GB of RAM.
Priced at ₹₹14,999, Nokia 6 (2017) comes with a 5.5-inch full HD display and 32GB storage. It runs on Android Nougat out-of-the-box. The smartphone sports 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. It is powered by a 3,000mAh battery and also has a rear-facing fingerprint scanner.
