The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge continue the long feud with nemesis Apple while improving over the predecessor in terms of performance and design. Even though the S6 series was one of the favourite phones last year, the bulging camera and non-expandable memory failed to get the company much success on the ground while Apple's sales soared as usual. At the launch event, Samsung focused on improvements in design, camera, gaming and user interface.
In terms of design, Samsung majorly stuck to the standards set by the S6 and we aren't complaining since the phones were gorgeous. But with Samsung has however made minor changes like shrinking the camera bulge, angles at which the phone curves and more for a much more 2016-worthy appearance. Also, the phones have been made water and dust resistance by sealing them from the inside instead of a waterproof coating like that on the rugged version of S5 to cut down on bulk.

The camera has the same megapixels as that of an iPhone 6s but takes better pictures in the dark with an F1.7 lens and larger 1.4µm pixels. It even promises faster focus with dual pixel sensors that use phase detection. Other features like motion photos compete with Apple's live photos feature.
The S7 series also attracts gamers with a beefier battery, up to 200 GB of expandable storage, game launcher and game tools that promises a more enhanced gaming experience.

Besides the S7 phones, Samsung could also bring the Gear 360 to India. A camera that can capture pictures and videos in 360 degrees.
