Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Part 2 event: How to watch, what to expect

Samsung has announced that its Galaxy Unpacked event will be held at 10AM ET or 7:30PM IST on October 20.

The festive season has already begun and now tech companies are starting their own celebrations next week by hosting event after event. The week will begin with Apple's Unleashed event on October 18 wherein it is expected to launch its next generation of MacBook laptops and Mac Mini desktops. It will be followed by Google's annual fall event on October 19 wherein the company will launch its Pixel 6 series smartphones and the week will end on October 20 with Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked Part 2 event.

This is the third Galaxy Unpacked event that Samsung has hosted this year. It began the year with its first Galaxy Unpacked event back in January wherein it launched its Galaxy S21 series smartphones. More recently, that is, in August, the company hosted its second Galaxy Unpacked event wherein it launched its Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphones along with its next generation of wearables and hearables. Now, the company is gearing to host the third and probably the last Galaxy Unpacked event for this year.

Samsung has announced that its Galaxy Unpacked event will be held at 10AM ET or 7:30PM IST on October 20. “Our users are multifaceted and live life in so many colourful, interesting and unique ways. Join Galaxy Unpacked Part 2 on October 20 to see how Samsung is opening up new experiences for self-expression through technology. The event will be streamed on Samsung's YouTube channel beginning at 10 a.m. ET,” Samsung wrote in its invitation.

Samsung fans will be able to view the Galaxy Unpacked Part 2 event live on Samsung's official YouTube channel beginning at 7.30PM IST.

What to expect from Samsung's Galaxy Unpacked Part 2 event?

As far as the details are concerned, Samsung hasn't divulged any details as to what we should expect from its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked Part 2 event. While it did share a video along with its official invite via its official newsroom, the video ended up raising more questions than answering them.

That said, the video did give us some clue as to what we should expect from Samsung's upcoming October 20 event. The company's upcoming event is likely to be focused on its apps and services and the company is expected to share more details in the improvements in various apps such as its music player app and its camera app. We could hear about the company's smart devices portfolio.
