The matchmaking website Shaadi.com got inspired by the now-legendary game Angry Birds and launched a Facebook game called Angry Brides. They have launched the game in the effort of creating awareness and discouraging the practice of dowry in India.

The player will compete with three grooms for a large dowry. With weapons like tomatoes, brooms and heels to work, the men definitely need to look out. All the money that gets collected goes to an anti-dowry fund maintained by the player. To move to the next level, a minimum amount of money needs to be earned.

"The Angry Brides game is our way to consider a ban on dowry. According to a 2007 study, one out of every four deaths that take place in India is dowry-related," said Ram Bhamidi, senior VP and head of online marketing, Shaadi.com.
