According to reports, Snapchat outage happened around 6 PM IST and continued for multiple hours before the company was able to restore normal functionality. For those users who are still facing issues with accessing the platform, Snapchat has also released an advisory guiding them on how to regain control of the app. The outage was first reported by Downdetector.com, an independent online outage monitor, posted on Twitter saying, “User reports indicate Snapchat is having problems since 8:49 AM EDT”. While the issues began at around 6 PM India time, the issue was resolved only after midnight of July 13. It is also being reported that some users are still facing issues accessing the social media app. ## Snapchat down: Snapchat suffers mysterious outage While it is not known what caused the outage, Snapchat support Twitter handle confirmed that the issue was there and the company was working on a fix.
