It packs in the best specifications you can ask for, shoots crisp photos and has what they call an "HD Reality" display. And it does make you wonder if it is enough to make one ditch the iPad, Samsung's never-ending stream of devices or a couple of Google-sanctioned Nexus tablets. Pros: Here's the one thing that should become the norm rather than the exception for every smartphone and tablet in the market — it needs to be water-resistant.It's a big plus for Sony's Xperia Z smartphone and the tablet, especially when you live in rain-drenched Mumbai. Sony claims it's shatter-proof and scratch-resistant as well. The design is sleek, without compromising on build quality. The black version looks like a polished slab of slate. The quad-core processor also makes it blazing fast. And the LED-backlit 1200x1920 pixels display is among the best we've seen. And the sound is right up there as well. It also supports micro USB, which is a big plus over the iPad. Cons: The screen may be scratch-resistant, but it's certainly not fingerprint-resistant. While that doesn't affect the display, it's a bit of an eyesore on a device this good-looking. The tablet is also on the heavier side (it almost weighs half a kilo), which makes it hard to handle especially when you're playing games on it. Also read click here. Product: Sony Xperia Tablet Z quick specs: Android 4.1, 1.5 GHz Quad Core processor, 10.1 in display USP: Slim design, fast processor, and water-resistant Official price: ₹ 46,990 Best price: ₹ 42,990 (snapdeal.com) Verdict: If you are looking for a full-sized Android tablet, and are willing to shell out the cash, you need look no further than this device. It's good-looking, fast and has a brilliant display. Plus, imagine the envy you cause when you pull it out in the rain, while everyone else is stowing their smartphones away in ziplock bags.
