Spotify Premium Mini plans launched in India, starts at ₹7 per day
Spotify has updated two of its Premium subscription plans in India. Spotify Premium daily and weekly plans have received discounts, and are also called ‘Premium Mini' now.
The revised Spotify Premium Mini plans now cost ₹7 per day, and ₹25 per week. These plans were originally priced at ₹13 per day and ₹39 per week. These bite-sized plans can be used only on Spotify's mobile app, and are restricted to only one device at a time.
The Premium Mini plans come with access to Spotify's entire catalogue of songs and podcasts, and obviously ad-free listening experience. It however, has a limitation of 30 songs for downloads on one device. Also, the maximum audio quality on Spotify's Premium Mini plans is 160 kbps. This is the same you get on Spotify's free ad-supported version. Another limitation on the Premium Mini plans is that the downloaded songs are removed once the subscription is over. So users will have to re-download all those songs again.
The new Spotify Premium Mini plans are now live on the website, and users in India can avail them. Spotify has other Premium plans for users who want more benefits. The Spotify Individual plan costs ₹119 per month, and ₹1,428 per year. Spotify is currently offering the yearly plan at ₹999 as part of an offer that expires on December 31, 2020. There's the Spotify Duo plan which is priced at ₹149 per month for two accounts. Spotify also has the Family plan priced at ₹179 per month, and with support for up to six months.
