The handset-maker, who took the country by storm with affordable handsets, is also expected to launch its next generation of low-cost wearable band -- the Mi Band 2. The first generation of Mi Band, which was priced at ₹999, had sold like hot cakes after the launch taking Xiaomi up the ranks of the wearables category.
The new air purifier, just like Xiaomi's smartphones, is expected to come in the affordable range. The Mi Air Purifier 2 comes with simple controls and for advanced monitoring of the air quality in the room it uses an app on your smartphone. You can also use your smartphone as a remote to for all the operations of the Mi Air Purifier 2. Xiaomi claims that the purifier can remove 99.9% PM2.5 particles and can produce 10,000 litres of clean air.
Despite being smaller than the first-gen air purifier, the Mi Air Purifier 2 still boasts a Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) of 388m3/h. It features a single motor, dual mixed booster fans and three-layer filter. Besides being up to 58 percent more power efficient than its predecessor, the new system is also up to 11 percent quieter.
