Asus launches new Scar, Strix, TUF laptops in India; prices start at ₹1,03,990

Asus has expanded its gaming laptop lineup with new Scar, Strix, TUF laptops in India. The firm has introduced ROG Strix G15, ROG Strix G17, ROG Strix SCAR 15, ROG Strix SCAR 17, TUF A15 and Desktop GA35. While the ROG Strix G15 and Strix G17 start at ₹1,57,990 and ₹1,50,990 respectively, the SCAR 15 and SCAR 17 start at ₹1,54,990 and 2,34,990 respectively. The TUF A15 is priced at ₹1,03,990 for the base model and the GA35 comes at ₹1,99,990.

The Strix SCAR 15 and SCAR 17 are powered by AMD Ryzen 9 5900HX or Ryzen 7 5800H SoCs along with Nvidia GeForce 3080 or 3070 GDDR6 VRAM options. The SCAR 15 has a 15.6-inch FHD IPS screen with 3ms response, 300Hz refresh rate and Adaptive-Sync. It also comes in WQHD resolution option with 165Hz refresh rate and DCI-P3 colour gamut instead of sRGB. The SCAR 17 also comes in 17.3-inch FHD and WQHD resolution variants. While the FHD version has 300Hz refresh rate and sRGB colours, the WQHD version has 165Hz refresh rate and DCI-P3 colours. Both can be configured with up to 32GB+32GB DDR4 3200MHz SDRAM along with 2xM.2 SSDs (NVMe PCIe 3.0) up to 2TB. They also have mechanical keyboards, 4xspeakers with Dolby Atmos, AI noise cancellation and Bluetooth v5.0. Both come with USB Type-A 3.2, Type-C Gen2 with DisplayPort, LAN, HDMI and 3.5mm headphone jack ports. The SCAR laptops are powered by 90Wh batteries as well.

Both can be configured with up to 16GB+16GB DDR4 3200MHz SDRAM along with 2xM.2 SSDs (PCIe 3.0) up to 1TB. They also have 2xspeakers with Dolby Atmos, AI noise cancellation and Bluetooth v5.0. Both come with USB Type-A 3.2, Type-C Gen2 with DisplayPort, LAN, HDMI and 3.5mm headphone jack ports. The G-series laptops are powered by 90Wh batteries like the SCAR Series mentioned above.

The TUF A15 is powered by AMD Cezanne R7 - 5800H processor, up to 32GB DDR4 3200Hz RAM, IPS FHD display with 144Hz refresh rate support, Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060 GPU 6GB GDDR6, 2xPCIe SSD slots with upto 1TB space, 3.5mm headphone jack, LAN, USB Type A, Type-C (with DisplayPort) and 90Whr battery.

The Strix GA35 is powered by AMD Ryzen R9-5900X or R7-5800X. It features NVIDIA® GeForce RTX 3080 8GB or 3070 8GB GPU, up to 32GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD, up to 2TB SATA 7200RPM 3.5-inch HDD, USB Type-A and Type-C ports.
