Huawei is not just rumoured to be working on its flagship smartphone series - P50, but as per a latest report, it may soon launch its first Windows desktop PC outside China. As reported by Huawei Central, the Mate Station S might soon launch in Malaysia. The firm is claiming its desktop PC as a compact device with a custom cooling system and minimal throttling.

For those unaware about this product, the Mate Station S runs AMD Ryzen 5 4600G CPU along with 8GB DDR4 RAM (3,200MHz) and 256GB M.2 SSD storage. In addition, you get some expansion slots. While all this sounds good on paper, there is still no clarity as to which firm is making the processor and other components.

What’s interesting here is that the Mate S is not being marketed for individual buyers. It is said to feature a serial port at its rear, indicating that the device might be aimed for business users. There is also a USB Type-C port, VGA port along with a HDMI port. This comes in addition to wireless connectivity features like Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band Wi-Fi.

As for other features, you get a 23.8-inch display along with an optional smart keyboard, which supports one-tap sharing compatibility with mobile devices and a fingerprint scanner.

For now, there is no word on the pricing and availability of the product in Malaysia. Nonetheless, the Mate Station S is already listed on the company’s Malaysian website, so it is just a matter of time before we see the price and other details.
