Samsung launches Galaxy Tab S7 series tablets: Check specs, features here

It’s finally here! Samsung hosted its the Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event today wherein it launched the Galaxy Note 10 series smartphones, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Buds Live earphones and the Galaxy Watch 3 smartwatch. In addition to all these devices, the company also launched the Galaxy Tab S7 series tablets comprising of the Galaxy Tab S7 and the Galaxy Tab S7+.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 series price and availability

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and the Galaxy Tab S7+ will be available in Mystic Black, Mystic Silver and Mystic Bronze colour variants. While the Galaxy Tab S7 will be priced at $649.99 ( ₹48,622 approximately), the Galaxy Tab S7+ costs $849.99 ( ₹63,583 approximately). The newly launched tablet series will go on sale in select markets starting August 21. 

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 series specs

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 series is the successor to last year’s Galaxy Tab S6 and it features support for the new and redesigned S-Pen. The Galaxy Tab S7 measures 253.8x165.3x6.3mm while the Galaxy Tab S7+ measures 285.0x185.0x5.7mm. It comes in two variants. While the Galaxy Tab S7 comes with an 11-inch super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels, the Galaxy Tab S7+ comes with a 12.4-inch super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800×1752 pixels. Both the models feature come with a display with a screen refresh ratio of 120Hz.

Both the variants run on Android 10 and they are powered by a 64-bit octa-core processor that clocks at 3.0GHz. The Galaxy Tab S7 series is available with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage space.

On the camera front, both the Galaxy Tab S7 and the Tab S7+ come with a dual rear camera setup consisting of a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front, the two tablets have an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

On the connectivity front, the Galaxy Tab S7 and the Tab S7+ come with 4G connectivity, 5G connectivity, a USB Type-C port, Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0.

Coming to the battery, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 comes with a 8,000mAh battery with support for 45W super-fast charging technology. The bigger Galaxy Tab S7+, on the other hand, comes with a bigger 10,000mAh battery with support for 45W super-fast charging technology.
