Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 may launch alongside the ‘Plus’ variant, tablet shows up in Geekbench with specs

A few days ago Samsung was rumoured to be working on the Galaxy tab S7. But it looks like that’s not the only Android tablet it might be working on. The South Korean tech firm is now said to launch the Galaxy Tab S7+ alongside. That’s because the device just showed up in GeekBench benchmark tests, revealing some of the specifications. As per the listing (via Nashville Chatter), the Galaxy Tab S7+ is codenamed SM-T976B and will be running Android 10 (OneUI based on Android 10).

The large screen product may also feature 6GB RAM, which is the same as the Galaxy Tab S6. It is worth adding that Galaxy Tab S7+ may have some other RAM variants as well, although details are scarce for now. However, it might be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865, which is the company’s latest flagship processor for this year. Although the benchmark mentions the processor name as ‘Kona’, based on previous reports, the name corresponds to Snapdragon 865.

Additional rumours indicate the upcoming Galaxy Tab S7+ tablet to feature a 12.4-inch screen with 120Hz refresh rate, which if true, will also be the first in a Samsung tablet. And since it will be powered by the Snapdragon 865, there will also be a 5G connectivity support. Backing the entire device could be a 9800mAh battery. The Galaxy Tab S6 came with 7040mAh battery.

In terms of design, the Tab S7+ will probably look similar to the Galaxy Tab S7, the renders of which leaked just a day ago. As leaked by the tipster @Onleaks, the 11-inch variant will measure 253.7 mm x 165.3 mm x 6.3 mm with the camera bump increasing the thickness to 7.7mm. It will come with a metallic casing and feature thin bezels on all four sides.
