Samsung Galaxy M02 to launch in India very soon, here’s what to expect

Samsung will soon launch a new entry-level Galaxy M smartphone in India. Called Galaxy M02, the smartphone has been spotted on the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) website. The listing suggests the phone will come with dual-SIM capabilities.

It is not the first time we have come across details of the upcoming M02. According to older leaks, Samsung Galaxy M02 will come with Qualcomm’s entry-level Snapdragon 450 processor. The chipset will be coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB built-in storage.

The phone will also have a microSD card slot for expandable storage. There could also be a 3GB version of the phone, reports Sammobile (via rootmygalaxy.net). On the software front, it will run on Android 10-based One UI out-of-the-box. Other expected features of the M02 are Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi and LTE.

Samsung Galaxy M02 is said to be the successor of M01s, which launched in India in July this year. Launched at ₹9,999, Samsung Galaxy M01s comes with a 6.2-inch HD+ TFT display.

It runs on MediaTek Helio P22 octa-core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage. A 4,000mAh battery powers the phone. On the photography front, it offers two rear cameras featuring 13-megapixel and 2-megapixel sensors. The M01s has an 8-megapixel selfie camera.

Samsung’s new smartphone will compete with the likes of Realme Narzo 10A and Xiaomi’s Redmi 8 in the budget segment.
