Recently, it was hinted that the Redmi K40 series might include two smartphones featuring the Snapdragon 888 flagship processor. However now, the Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing has teased the battery life that the Redmi K40. Weibing has posted a screenshot on Weibo, showing the battery life of K40 at 64% after 10.5 hours of usage. The executive however, did not give away any other details based on the apps that were being used on the handset and for how much time did the device was kept idle. He has also not revealed the exact battery capacity of the Redmi K40 model.
The same screenshot also shows that the remaining 64% of the device can be used for around 25 hours and four minutes. This brings the total battery life of the upcoming Redmi K40 to 37 hours.

According to the screenshot, the handset might come with a full-HD+ resolution screen and 20:9 aspect ratio. This comes shortly after the Redmi Product Director, Wang Thomas, suggested on Weibo that there might be more than one Snapdragon 888 model in the series.
Looks like Redmi will follow the same strategy it had adopted with Redmi K30 series. Redmi had launched K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom shared identical specifications. The Zoom variant, however, offered better camera features.
Apart from the new chipset, Redmi has also confirmed that the phones will offer battery capacity “more than 4,000mAh”. The starting price of the K40 series will be 2,999 Yuan ( ₹34,000 approximately).
