Chandrayaan-4 mission has grabbed the spotlight as ISRO winds down the Chandrayaan-3 mission again. ISRO is preparing for the LUPEX mission in collaboration with JAXA.
The chances for Chandrayaan-4 mission revival are not good as Vikram lander and Pragyan rover are likely dead on the Moon. It would be a miracle if it ever happens. However, all the focus has shifted to the new lunar mission called the Chandrayaan-4 mission. It is formally called Lunar Polar Exploration Mission (Lupex). (ISRO)

According to reports, ISRO and JAXA have plans to send a lander and rover to the south pole region of the Moon which will conduct studies on the lunar surface. Just like Chandrayaan-3, the Chandrayaan-4 mission will be conducted from the south-polar region of the Moon. (ISRO)
