Samsung Galaxy A70 with 32-megapixel selfie camera launched: Specifications, features

Samsung on Tuesday quietly launched a new Galaxy A series smartphone. Galaxy A70 was unveiled ahead of its official launch event which is scheduled to take place on April 10.

The fourth smartphone in the revamped Galaxy A series, Galaxy A70 comes with Infinity-U display, triple rear cameras and an in-display fingerprint sensor. Galaxy A70 flaunts a glass body which Samsung calls "3D Glasstic" in four colour options of black, blue, coral and white.

Samsung Galaxy A70 features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core processor paired with 6GB and 8GB of RAM. It comes with 128GB of in-built storage which is further expandable up to 512GB via a microSD card.

In the photography department, Galaxy A70 sports a triple-camera setup of a 32-megapixel sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, it offers a 32-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture.

Galaxy A70 is fuelled by a 4,500mAh battery with 'Super Fast Charging'. The smartphone runs OneUI based on Android 9 Pie. In addition to an in-display fingerprint sensor, Galaxy A70 also comes with facial recognition.

Pricing and availability details of the Galaxy A70 will be announced later at the launch event. Samsung's "A Galaxy Event" will take place on April 10 in three different continents. Along with the Galaxy A70, Samsung is expected to launch more Galaxy A series smartphones.
