Samsung joins Google’s Android Enterprise Recommended Program

Samsung on Wednesday announced that it has joined Google’s Android Enterprise Recommended program, which is aimed at making it easier for enterprise businesses to integrate mobile solutions into their operations.

Samsung says that its participation in the program would give its customers added assurance that it meets the hardware and software requirements set out by Google for the enterprises.

To give you a quick brief about the Android Enterprise Recommended program, it serves as a critical tool for enterprise customers, helping them to evaluate and approve devices that meet Google’s requirements for hardware, software and updates. Google says it had launched this program with seven device manufacturers. Over time, the company has expanded the program to more than 30 global partners including companies such as Lenovo, OnePlus, Oppo, and Xiaomi.

Now, Samsung has joined Google’s elite group.

So what does this mean for Galaxy smartphone and tablet users? Samsung says that select Galaxy devices running Android 11 and above including the Galaxy Note S20, Galaxy Note20, Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy S7+ will become a part of the Android Enterprise Recommended program. This would provide customers with even more options that meet Google’s standard requirements and ensures consistent device performance and user experience for businesses. “Together, Google and Samsung will continue to push boundaries and deliver the best experiences possible in order to help enterprise customers everywhere achieve their digital transformation goals,” Samsung said.
