Chromecast with Google TV to come with these interesting new features

Google is going to unveil new hardware lineup tomorrow. While the flagship Pixel 5 is most likely to hog all the limelight, long-awaited devices such as next-gen Chromecast will also see the light of day. With just a day left for the official launch, Google’s new Chromecast device has leaked, once again.

The latest leak comes from a Redditor who was able to get the media streaming device from a local Walmart, reports TheVerge. Called “Chromecast with Google TV”, key details including specs, interface, and manual have been revealed.

According to the Redditor, Walmart sold the new Chromecast for $49.98, which is ₹3,600 approximately. It is likely to be of the official price of the device. The device comes with 4K HDR, runs on Android 10, and supports multiple user accounts. The device can also be paired with Bluetooth headphones. The Redditor further said that it allows users to sideload APKs as well. It comes bundled with a dedicated remote as well.

A brief video of the interface reveals the new Chromecast supports apps such as Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, YouTube TV, Sling, Hulu, Peacock, Spotify, and HBO Max. There are a few games as well. It does not support Google Stadia cloud-based gaming platform.

According to older leaks, Google’s new Chromecast will offer up to 4K streaming at 60fps. It is also said to come with HDR and Dolby Vision. In terms of specs, it could run on the Amlogic S905X2 processor paired with 2GB of RAM. It could also feature HDMI 2.1 with automatic low-latency optimisation. You can get Chromecast with Google TV in pink, grey and blue colours.
