Sony India has announced the BRAVIA X80K television series for the market as its next premium smart TV. The new Bravia X80K series promises to make improvements to vision and sound and also bring the Google TV experience. The X80 series is available in multiple sizes, starting from 189 cm (75-inch), 165 cm (65-inch), 140 cm (55-inch), 126 cm (50-inch) and 108 cm (43-inch) for X80K series. Prices of not all the models are announced yet, except for the 55-inch model that will cost Rs. 94,990 and will be available from May 20.
The Sony X80K series of TVs brings the X1 4K HDR picture processor along with Object-based HDR remaster, all of which promises greater depth, textures, and more realistic pictures. The X80K series comes with a wide colour gamut and Sony’s TRILUMINOS PRO algorithm to detect colour from saturation, hue, and brightness.

The Bravia X80K series also brings the handsfree voice search option to this segment. Hence, you will be able to find your favourite content faster without any remote controller. Viewers can simply talk to the TV using the Google Assistant to find what they want quickly, or to play TV shows, movies, and more without using the TV remote.
When it comes to the audio output, the Bravia X80K series gets the X-balanced speaker feature that promises no compromise in sound quality helps keep the TV design slim.
The X80K with ambient optimization technology with light sensor automatically adjusts the picture brightness to room conditions, boosting brightness in light rooms and reducing it in dark ones for a better experience. The same exists for sound, wherein the TV detects objects and reproduces sound that’s enhanced and optimised to your room.The TVs also come with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support.
Gamers using consoles such as the Sony Playstation 5 and Xbox Series X can make use of the HDMI 2.1 compatibility, Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode for a better experience.

The Bravia X80K series brings support for Google TV platform that also brings the Google Assistant. Hence, you get all the similar features as the Android TV televisions. The Bravia X80K series also supports Apple AirPlay and Apple HomeKit, which means you can stream content from Apple iPhones and iPad devices.
