Sony Bravia X90J series with the XR Cognitive Processor launched: Here are all the details

Sony has announced the new Bravia X90J series in India. The company calls it the “world’s first cognitive intelligence TV series, which thinks like a human brain”. The Bravia X90J series TVs come with Cognitive Processor XR which detects the viewer’s focal points, and cross-analyses numerous image quality elements to produce a picture that is more natural. It also upscales sound to 5.1.2 channels for an immersive surround sound experience.

The new X90J series available in 189 cm (75 inches), 165 cm (65 inches), and 140 cm (55 inches) and is equipped with XR 4K Upscaling technology that upscales 2K signals close to true 4K quality. The TVs come with the full-array LED panel powered by the XR Contrast Booster, XR Triluminos Pro, and XR Motion Clarity technology. Added to this are XR Surround and 3D Surround Upscaling along with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support.

The Bravia X90J series come with ambient optimisation technology with light sensors that automatically adjusts the picture brightness according to room conditions. The acoustic auto-calibration technology detects your position and optimises sound based on your environment. Connectivity options on the Bravia X90J series include HDMI 2.1 compatibility and there’s also support for 4K 120fps, Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) and e-ARC so you can use the TV for gaming too. There is also a dedicated Game Mode for this purpose.

The Bravia X90J series is equipped with Google TV and comes with Google Assistant support. It also works with Apple’s AirPlay 2 and HomeKit and you can integrate your Apple devices like your iPhone and your iPad with the TV for easy streaming.

The 55-inch Bravia X90J (XR-55X90J) is available in India for ₹139,990 and can be bought from Sony Centres and from electronic stores and e-commerce websites. Details about the 75-inch and 65-inch variants will be announced soon.
