Apple is going to launch the iPhone 13 series soon and the excitement regarding the product is already palpable. According to a recently conducted survey, a 44% of iPhone owners have said they are going to upgrade their devices and buy a new phone this year. So if you are someone who has their heart set on the new iPhone 13 series, make sure you bag a pre-order on these devices because the demand is expected to be rather high.

The survey conducted by SellCell revealed that about 44% of current iPhone owners are keen on purchasing the new iPhone 13 and the purchase intent is rather high. Apple has reportedly boosted the production of the upcoming iPhone 13 series by 20% to 90 million units which is indicative of the fact that the company is also bracing for high demands this year.

Apple has also reportedly brought a new Chinese supplier Luxshare on board and might be attempting to diversify its supply chain to prevent low supplies. And this is particularly vital since tech companies are already dealing with a volatile components' situation that was caused by Covid-19 and the subsequent lockdowns.

Of all the models Apple is going to launch soon, the standard 6.1-inch iPhone 13 seems to be a favourite with most of the SellCell survey participants. About 38.2% of the respondents said they were keen on buying the iPhone 13. This was followed by 30.8% wanting to opt for the 6.7-inch iPhone 13 Pro Max, 24% for iPhone 13 Pro, and only 7% for the iPhone 13 mini.

This survey took place online over July 28 and August 6 in the US and included over 3,000 iPhone owners over the age of 18. Besides this, the survey also revealed that people are expecting higher refresh rates on the new iPhone 13 series, smaller notches/notch-less designs, etc. A portless design, WiFi 6E, and reverse wireless charging are some of the least anticipated features on the upcoming smartphone according to the survey.

As compared to the iPhones, 27.3% of the survey participants are looking forward to buying the Apple Watch Series 7 and only 12.9% are interested in buying the AirPods 3.

A most interesting thing another SellCell survey revealed was the fact that 18.3% of the respondents said that they were triskaidekaphobic, which means that have a fear of the number 13. And 74% of the respondents said that they would prefer a different name for the series. And while they might prefer a different name, the survey shows that they still might go ahead and buy the device irrespective of the name.
