Asus ROG Phone 5 images leaked in White and Blue colours for the first time, hours before official launch

The tipster also showcases AeroActive Cooler 5 accessory for ROG Phone 5.

Asus has already announced its ROG Phone 5 gaming smartphone and will be dropping the details on its specs, features and price in the next few hours. However, leaks and rumours are still hitting the web, giving us a rather clear idea on what to expect from the flagship handset. The latest leak comes from tipster Ishan Agarwal on Twitter. Not only has the tipster posted some high-res renders of the ROG Phone 5's Black colour model, but has shown a new colour variant - which if true, might be the first ever in the line of ROG smartphones.

As mentioned by Agarwal in a couple of tweets, the ROG Phone 5 is seen sporting a similar look as last year's ROG Phone 3. However, the major change is at the back, which now has company's AnimeMatrix tech along with some Red accents. There's a change in the texture pattern as well. This Black/Red combo and the back panel design goes in line with the image posted by DxOMark website in the audio review of ROG Phone 5 a few days ago. The website also showed triple rear cameras at the back.

In the tweet, we can see the front side with minor bezels on top and bottom, along with a USB Type-C port at the bottom along with a 3.5mm headphone jack. It is worth mentioning that the 3.5mm wasn't there in ROG Phone 3 and seems to be back this time around. On the side, we can see the second Type-C port and what looks like a POGO connector. The SIM card tray also is in Red colour this time.

In one of the images, we also see the AeroActive Cooler 5 accessory, which has a slightly different look than before. We are yet to learn more about it and other accessories. The same image, however, also shows ‘64MP Quad Bayer' mentioned right below the rear camera.

In the more recent set of images, Agarwal has posted the White colour variant of the ROG Phone 5. We are looking at this for the first time ever since the arrival of ROG Phones in the market. In this, the entire handset is in White with Blue accents at the back. The SIM card tray is also Blue in colour. However, the sides of the device are seen in Black only. It is not for sure yet if this particular model will be arriving in India or not.
