Oppo last month revealed the timeline for the rollout of Google's Android 11-mobile OS-based ColorOS 11 on its smartphones for the month of August on Twitter. Oppo announced that the Oppo K3 smartphone will get the ColorOS 11 update in India starting August 31. True to its word, Oppo has now started rolling out Android 11-based ColorOS 11 to the Oppo K3 users in the country.

Blog site RM Update reveals that the Android 11-based ColorOS 11 update is being rolled out to users in the form of firmware update version CPH1955_11_F.11. The update adds a few camera functionalities and audio features. It also brings app fixes to Oppo's user interface.

The screenshot of the publication shared by the blog site shows that the Android 11-based ColorOS 11-based update brings improvements to the portrait mode of the selfie camera. It also fixes an issue where green lines would appear at the bottom of some photos. Additionally, the Android 11-based ColorOS 11-based update fixes the issues wherein no sound could be heard when playing a recorded video with Bluetooth earphones connected and where audio might be played via the speaker when the phone is connected to Bluetooth earphones. Furthermore, the update fixes the issue where Arena of Valor could not be launched properly in some scenarios.

Oppo had launched the Oppo K3 in India back in May 2019 with Android 9.0-based ColorOS 6. Then last month, Oppo started rolling out Android 11-based ColorOS 11 beta update to the Oppo K3 devices.

The Oppo K3 features a 6.5-inch full HD+ AMOLED display. It is powered by the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 710 processor that is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of built-in storage. On the camera front, the Oppo K3 sports a dual-camera setup consisting of a 16-megapixel sensor and a 2-megapixel sensor. It has a 16-megapixel pop-up camera for selfies. On the battery front, the Oppo K3 is backed by a 3,765mAh battery with support for VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology.
