itel on Monday announced the launch of a new entry-level smartphone in India. Called itel A47, the smartphone will be available starting February 5 via Amazon India for ₹5,499. The phone comes in Cosmic Purple and Ice Lake Blue colours.

The smartphone comes with a 5.5-inch display with HD resolution. The screen has an IPS panel and 18:9 aspect ratio.

For performance, it has a 1.4GHz quad-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The phone comes with 32GB built-in storage. It also comes with a microSD card slot that supports expandable storage up to 32GB. A 3,020mAh battery powers the phone. On the software front, it runs Android 9 Pie (Go Edition).

In the photography department, the handset offers a dual-camera setup on the back. It has dual 5MP AI camera. On the front, it has a 5MP selfie camera with soft flash.
