Micromax to launch three smartphones priced under 10,000 next month

Micromax is reportedly planning to make a comeback with three new smartphones. Micromax hasn’t teased any of its upcoming products but it has been responding to tweets confirming the launch.

The new Micromax smartphones will debut next month, according to a report by Gadgets360. All three smartphones are also said to be priced under 10,000. Among the three one would be a budget smartphone but with premium features and a modern look.

Micromax first confirmed it is working on new smartphones on Twitter. Tweets addressed to Micromax asking the company to launch new phones that can serve as alternatives to Chinese smartphones in India. There has been a growing number of anti-China sentiments due to ongoing clashes between China and India. Social media trends to boycott Chinese goods, especially phones have also been pretty active.

Micromax replied to one of these tweets saying, “Hi, Hitesh. Glad to see your support for #VocalForLocal. We are working hard internally and soon we will come up with something big. Stay tuned! #Micromax #MadeByIndian #MadeForIndian.”

Micromax however has a history of launching rebranded Chinese phones in India. Some of these phones include Yu Yureka which is actually Coolpad F2 8675 and Micromax Dual 4 a.ka. ZTE Blade V8. it’s interesting to see how Micromax plans to make a comeback with organic smartphones. Also, if it will cause a dent in the Indian smartphone market which is currently dominated by Chinese brands.
