Nothing Phone (1) is going flagship in two aspects, suggest the latest leaks! Nothing's first smartphone is coming on July 12 and so far, it seems that we have known almost everything there is to know about it. This is purely a midrange smartphone that will focus on the user experience over everything else. Prior to the launch on July 12, there are a couple of new things that have leaked and it could make it all exciting for the fans.
Based on a tip from Yogesh Brar, it is said that the Nothing Phone (1) will have a “great camera performance.” He says that device will have a ultra-wide camera that can also take macro shots. Nothing later revealed that they chose to go with a dual camera system with two good cameras instead of one good and three sub-par sensors. Additionally, Brar says that the display will have a ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which has been only reserved for high-end flagship smartphones.
Nothing Phone (1) more details leak
In the official blogpost, it is said that the Nothing Phone (1) will have just two cameras that have all the flagship-like features. The main camera will have a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor that comes with a f/1.8 aperture lens and has a 1/1.67-inch sensor size. Nothing says that camera sensor can support 10-bit colours. The main camera also comes with OIS and EIS features. This is assisted by a secondary ultra-wide camera with a 114-degree field of view.
Additionally, Nothing is baking a couple of smart features into the camera software. “We made it simple. Intelligent features like Night Mode and Scene Detection automatically identify what you are capturing, and suggest the best settings for your shot. Pets, portraits, landscapes, panorama. Always looking at their best,” says Nothing in the blogpost.
Lastly, it is also confirmed that the Nothing Phone (1) will not come with a charger in the box. This is not a new thing given that almost all brands are willing to drop the in-box charger.
The Nothing Phone (1) has also been confirmed to use the Snapdragon 778G+ chipset, which is strictly a midrange chipset for Android devices. The Phone (1) will also boot Nothing OS based on Android 12 and will be getting three Android updates over its lifetime.
