Redmi Note 10S is coming to India on May 13

Xiaomi’s latest Redmi Note phone is coming later this month. Here’s what we know so far.

Xiaomi will launch Redmi Note 10S in India on May 13. The company on its microsite the upcoming phone will deliver “savage performance” and “stunning camera.” The phone is also confirmed to come with “hyper engine game technology”. Other confirmed features are stereo sound dual speakers, hi-res certified audio, IP53 rating for water and dust resistance, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection on the front.

The current Redmi Note 10 series features three smartphones – Note 10, Note 10 Pro, and Note 10 Pro Max. The three phones are available at starting prices of ₹12,499, ₹15,999, and ₹18,999, respectively. The latest model, Redmi Note 10s, is likely to sit between the base Note 10 and Note 10 Pro.

The latest announcement comes after Xiaomi dropped the first teaser for the phone. The teaser revealed features such as a 64-megapixel quad-camera, MIUI 12.5, and a Super Display. The phone comes in at least three colours – grey, white, and blue.

Redmi Note 10S specifications, features

The Redmi Note 10S comes with a 6.43-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,400 pixels) AMOLED hole-punch display. The smartphone runs a MediaTek Helio G95 processor paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone packs a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging.

The handset features a quad-camera setup with a 64-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel macro sensor, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, the smartphone offers a 13-megapixel front camera.

On the software front, Redmi Note 10S has Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 out-of-the-box. Redmi Note 10S also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 3.5mm headphone jack. As said earlier, it comes with dual speakers with Hi-Res Audio and IP53 certification for water and dust resistance.
