Redmi Note 11 SE is turning out to be a highly controversial product in the Redmi lineup this year. The spec sheet alone reveals exactly the same aspects as the Redmi Note 10S from last year, and Xiaomi has not even bothered to redesign its webpage listing. So far, we knew that the only difference between the Redmi Note 11 SE and Redmi Note 10S is the name. However, a new report now suggests that this Note 11 SE maybe the first phone from Redmi to ship without a charger in the box!

This is not new for a Xiaomi phone, given that the limited run Xiaomi Mi 11 had also skipped the charger in the box. However, the Redmi Note 11 SE, as observed by a GSMArena report, suggests that the phone may not ship with a charger in the box. Xiaomi has so far shipped all its Redmi branded phones with chargers in the box but with the aim for cost cutting, it seems Redmi now wants to follow Samsung's Galaxy F series phones.

Redmi Note 11 SE does not have charger in the box!

With no charger in the box, it remains to be seen how much cost cutting can Redmi afford with the Note 11 SE. Xiaomi could price the phone lower than the standard Redmi Note 11, which comes with some great features such as a 90Hz OLED display, a Snapdragon 680 chip, a 33W charger in the box, a 50MP triple rear camera setup, and the latest version of MIUI.

In contrast, the Redmi Note 11 SE will have a 60Hz 6.4-inch OLED display, a MediaTek Helio G95 chip, a 64MP quad rear camera setup, a 5000mAh battery and support for 33W charging. The design of the phone remains similar to that of the Redmi Note 10S and even the colour variants remain the same, including the Purple “glittery” shade.

With the addition of this model, the Redmi Note 11 series has now five models on offer. The base model is the Redmi Note 11 while the slightly beefed up variant is the Redmi Note 11S. Then there is a Redmi Note 11 Pro with a 120Hz refresh rate display and Helio G96 chip along with a 108MP main rear camera. Lastly, the series topping model is the Redmi Note 11 Pro+.
