Redmi Note 8 2021 will feature a waterdrop notched display just like the original Redmi Note 8.

Xiaomi is preparing to launch the 2021 version of Redmi Note 8. The company confirmed this in an announcement that it has sold over 25 million units of the Redmi Note 8. Xiaomi has now shared a new teaser that reveals the design of the Redmi Note 8 2021.

In the teaser image shared by Xiaomi, Redmi Note 8 2021 is seen with a notched display. It looks quite similar to the original Redmi Note 8 that launched back in 2019. The smartphone here is blue in colour but Xiaomi is expected to add more colours. While we did get a look at the Redmi Note 8 2021, the phone’s rear panel isn’t shown here. The power button and volume keys are also assumed to be on the right side of the phone.

Xiaomi is yet to reveal specifications of the Redmi Note 8 2021 but a recent leak has given us an idea on what to expect. Redmi Note 8 2021 is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 processor paired with 128GB of internal storage. The smartphone is also said to pack a 4,000mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support. Redmi Note 8 2021 will also run MIUI 12.5 out-of-the-box. In the photography department, Redmi Note 8 2021 is also expected to feature a quad-camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor.

Xiaomi is reportedly developing the phone for select markets including the EU and Russia. that it’s a new Redmi Note 8. There’s no word on its India launch yet.
