Budget 2022 Expectations: Industry wants AI and tech to get special emphasis

The Union Budget 2022-2023 will be presented by the Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on February 1. The expenses, revenues, allocations made to several sectors, schemes launched, among others are some of the points announced in the budget. As we all know, several sectors come forward with their expectations and suggestions for the government to consider so that it can help the sector flourish.

Due to COVID-19 pandemic almost everything has gone online and digitalization has received a major boost. It has helped in increasing the use of AI across several industries. AI and technology is one of the sectors that is looking forward to the Budget 2022, hoping for some good announcements for them.

Keeping his expectation forward Aakrit Vaish, Co-Founder and CEO, Haptik, said, "Due to the increased push toward digitalization, the usage of AI across industries has increased remarkably. While the previous two budgets had recognized the importance of technology in shaping the new India, we now anticipate opportunities and significant government efforts to locate India as one of the world's preferred AI attractions this year."

Notably, as per the information provided by the Ministry of Finance the union Budget 2022-23 will be available on Mobile App after it is presented in Parliament for both iPhone and Android systems. The “Union Budget Mobile App” will provide easy and quick access to Union Budget information to all stakeholders.

The iPhone, Android Budget App is bilingual (English and Hindi). It should be noted that apart from the Mobile App, all Budget documents will also be available for download on Union Budget Web Portal. Mobile App can be downloaded from the Union Budget Web Portal (www.indiabudget.gov.in).

The Budget 2022 App allows complete access to 14 Union Budget documents, including the Budget Speech, Annual Financial Statement (commonly known as Budget), Demand for Grants (DG), Finance Bill etc. as prescribed by the Constitution.
