Google has finally heard what Android users have been asking for, all this while. Yes, Google's Chrome browser (beta) is finally available in the Android Market for free. However, there's a catch. The browser can be installed only on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich devices - both phones and tablets.

Google seems to have re-imagined the way tabs can be implemented on a browser so that they are easily accessible on both mobile phones and tablets. Rather than having a series of tabs at the top, Chrome has the tabs tiled on the screen, thus making all the information easily accessible for the users. You can flip or swipe between an unlimited number of tabs using intuitive gestures. Yes, I know it sounds a bit confusing right now. That's why we'd encourage you to check out the video embedded at the bottom of this article.

'Like the desktop version, Chrome for Android Beta is focused on speed and simplicity, but it also features seamless sign-in and sync so you can take your personalised web browsing experience with you wherever you go, across devices,' Google said in a blog post.

The Chrome browser for Android also has the option of syncing bookmarks, opened tabs and frequently visited websites' list right from the desktop browser itself. The browser also has the option of pre-fetching websites so as to speed up the browsing experience.

Now, only if Google would come up with browser notifications, the way the desktop version of Chrome does.
