JioPages arrives on Android TV
Reliance Jio announced that JioPages app is available for download on Google Play Store for Android TV users globally.
Reliance Jio has been steadily updating its JioPages platform. Recently, the company released update 2.0.3 to its JioPages app, which brought features such as new languages, reader mode and quizzes among others to its platform. Today, the company announced that JioPages has arrived on Android TV.
Earlier, JioPages was available only for Jio set-top-box users. Today, Reliance Jio announced that JioPages app is available for download on Google Play Store for Android TV users globally.
To give you a quick brief about the browsing platform, it has four tabs -- Home, Videos, News and Quicklinks. Apart from browsing, users can see over 10,000 videos in over 20 categories such as music, movies, kids and news among others.
The browser supports eight Indian languages, which includes Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Bengali. Users can also customise their news feeds according to their preferred language.
Like other web browsers, JioPages comes with a default browsing mode and an incognito mode that enables private browsing by preventing browsing history from being stored in the system. Additionally, JioPages comes with an in-built Download Manager that can be used to download images, videos, and documents among other things. JioPages also comes with an in-built PDF reader and the ability to download e-newspapers to read news on a bigger screen.
