Reliance launches JioPages browser app for Android users: Check out the features

Jio has launched its new browser, JioPages, in order to deliver a fast browser that is also secure. The firm is also marketing it as the made-in-India browser. JioPages is built on Chromium Blink engine and promises to deliver “enhanced browsing experience through faster engine migration, bestin-class webpage rendering, faster page loads, efficient media streaming, Emoji domain support and encrypted connection.”

You can set any of the leading search engines including Google, Bing, MSN, Yahoo or Duck Duck Go, as default search engine for the browser. It is also possible to customise the Home Screen by pinning the links of favourite websites on the home screen for quick and easy access. Adding to the personalisation is the ability to change the theme. It is possible to choose from a variety of colourful background themes for the browser. You can even switch to ‘Dark Mode' for an eyefriendly viewing experience.
JioPages has a personalised content feed as well to suit the user's preference in terms of language, topic and region. It can also send notifications on news based on how important the news is and the user's interest level.
Furthermore, you get Informative Card that captures key numbers, trends, symbols or headlines of a given topic and shows them as compact clickable banners on the screen.

As for language support, the browser supports Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Gujarati, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Bengali. Users also have the option of customising the content feed according to their preferred state.
Besides this you get an advanced download manager that automatically categorises downloads according to the file type. In addition, the Incognito Mode enables private browsing by preventing browsing history from being stored in the system. JioPages users can even set a four-digit security PIN or fingerprint as an access code to the Incognito mode.
And finally, the JioPages browser integrates an ad blocker for a hinder-free experience.
