JioPages 2.0.3 update brings new languages, quizzes, Reader Mode, Offline View on Android
This update is available for download on the Google Play Store and it brings tons of new features including new languages and more quizzes.
Reliance Jio on Tuesday rolled out the version 2.0.3 of its JioPages app on Android. This update is available for download on the Google Play Store and it brings tons of new features including new languages and more quizzes.
Until now, JioPages users could browse content and read the news in a total of 12 languages, which included English and 11 regional languages such as Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Bengali. Now, the company has added support for three more Indian languages to the platform, which includes Assamese, Odia and Punjabi.
To change the language preference in the app, follow these steps: visit the Bottom Menu > Settings > Preference > Select App Language > select your preferred language and you are good to go.
Apart from adding support for more languages, Reliance Jio has also added support for new games and quizzes in the app. Users can now play quizzes from over 16 categories such as History, Politics, GK, Math, and IPL among others.
To play quizzes all you need to do is follow these steps: go to Home screen > go to Quiz Shortcut > tap on Play Quiz. Alternatively, you can scroll down to the Bottom menu in the app > go to Quiz Shortcut > tap on Play Quiz.
Reliance Jio has also introduced a Reader Mode in the JioPages app with this update. This feature will make the overall view simple and fonts bigger. It will also remove all the distractions from web pages and users will get the Settings options to change the colour of the text, font size for a comfortable reading experience.
To access this mode follow these steps: go to the Bottom Menu > go to Settings > go to Appearance > Switch on Reader Mode.
Lastly, the company also launched the Offline View mode that will enable users to save webpages as PDF or print. Users can save the webpage of their choice as PDF. Users can also print any webpage from JioPages by connecting their printer.
To use this feature follow these steps: Go to the webpage of your choice > go to the Bottom Menu > click on ‘PDF/Print' option and you are good to go.
