Reliance JioMart: How the return, refund process works

Reliance has begun expanding its JioMart e-commerce platform to more cities in India. The website focuses on delivering essential products only for now such as fruits, vegetables, dairy/bakery products, Beverages, personal care products and more. While we have talked at length about the service and some frequently asked questions like how to register yourself for it and what are payment methods, in this one, we are talking about the JioMart's return and refund policy.

The website claims that it has a “no questions asked return and refund policy,”meaning that customers can return the product at the time of delivery if they are not satisfied with its quality, freshness or its physical condition. JioMart website states that at the time of delivery, it will take back the product that you have ordered. If you have paid it already, the amount will be refunded to you via the same mode of payment, which can be debit card, credit card or netbanking. The amount can also be credited to the customer's store credit account that can be used for other purchases.

However, it has been made clear that “Products once sold and delivered to you, shall be eligible for return only if the product condition is found to be damaged, broken, faulty or different from the ordered one.”

In case of bread, fruits and vegetables, eggs or dairy products, the customer would have to initiate the return process within a day of delivery. For non-food and packaged food items, the customer can initiate the process within three days.

JioMart's terms and conditions page adds that it doesn't refund the amount in cash and that the amount will be refunded between 3-15 working days depending upon the mode of payment chosen.
