Samsung launches UV Steriliser with inbuilt wireless charger at 3,599

Samsung is not just trying to get an upper hand in the budget smartphone market with recent launches, it is also bringing a useful accessory to India – the UV Sterilizer. Priced at 3,599, the device, as the name suggests, cleans the product kept inside of it so the bacteria and germs don’t spread – something that is vital in order to curb the pandemic. The device also has an inbuilt 10W wireless charger for smartphones and accessories. Any product with Qi-compatible wireless charging can be charged.

The South Korean tech firm claims that it can kill up to 99% of the bacteria and germs that includes E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Candida albicans. Th product is manufactured by Samsung C&T, a partner of the Samsung Mobile Accessory Partnership Program (SMAPP) and can store essential items and even bigger smartphones like Galaxy S20 Ultra, Galaxy Note10+, among others. It even comes with dual UV lights that sterilize both top and bottom surface of items that are placed inside.

There’s a single button to switch on/off the device. The steriliser also switches off after 10 minutes and weighs 369 grams.
