Snapchat, Instagram, Hike launches stickers, emojis for Lok Sabha polls

Snapchat has designed a range of tools including filters, stickers, Bitmoji, lenses, and Snap Map integrations especially for the polls.

Aiming to encourage people to vote for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, social networking apps like Snapchat, Instagram and Hike launched tools and polling information for Indian voters.

Lok Sabha 2019 elections started on April 11 and will continue till May 19 in seven phases. The final results will be declared on May 23. Snapchat, Instagram and Hike are doing their bit to urge people to vote with stickers, emojis and also information related to polling.

Snapchat

Snapchat users will receive a Snap from 'Team Snapchat' reminding them to check when their constituency is voting. Snapchat also has dedicated Snaps for each state including information a link to polling location on the Election Commission of India's website.

Instagram

Instagram rolled out a new sticker to represent voting for people in India. This sticker can be used in Instagram Stories, and will be available till May 19. Instagram users can find the sticker icon from the sticker tab located in Stories. Also, once a user taps on the sticker it will take them to the National Voters Services Portal for information on polling locations.

Hike

Hike has launched a new pack of stickers encouraging users to go out and vote. Some of the election-based stickers available on Hike include include 'Go Vote, Don't chill' and 'The nation wants your vote".
