Realme Buds Air 2 TWS earbuds, Smart Bulbs to launch in Q1 2021

Madhav Sheth, VP of Realme and CEO of Realme India and Europe, has said the company will launch Buds Air 2 TWS earphone in the first quarter of 2021. He also revealed the company will introduce Realme-branded Smart Bulbs in the first quarter.

In an interview to GSMArena, Sheth said the company has plans to launch more products -- over 100+ products -- under its AIOT segment across different categories in 2021.

"2021 is going to be an even more thrilling year for our AIoT segment as we plan to launch more than 100 products. We are working towards building Realme's ecosystem in India, to democratize leading technology and empower everyone's life," Sheth is quoted as saying.

Realme had debuted in India in May 2018. Since then, the company has become a dominant player in the budget category, giving a tight competition to Xiaomi. Even as initial products were smartphones and accessories, Realme has now shifted its focus on building its IoT portfolio. For instance, it launched Realme Smart TV earlier this year.

Another key offering from Realme is the Realme Link application, a one-stop platform to control all the smart Realme devices in your home. The upcoming smart bulbs and other possible IoT products are likely to work with this Realme Link application.

The most immediate thing to look forward to from Realme is the X7 Pro. The smartphone has appeared on the company’s official India support page, hinting at the imminent launch.

Just a quick recap: Realme had launched X7 Pro had launched in China in September this year alongside X7. Some of the top features of the phone include MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000+ processor and a 6.55-inch display with AMOLED panel and 120Hz refresh rate.
