As of now, Microsoft Teams has a self view feature in its bottom right-hand corner that distracts users and sometimes also gets in the way of screenshare. This has irritated several Teams users as they constantly see themselves during meetings. But now, the company will be introducing a feature that will let users hide from watching themselves in action. A portal ZDNet has shared the info. The report stated, "It's instructive to learn how many Teams users describe the experience of constantly staring at themselves. One word that emerges again and again is exhausting."

One of the Microsoft Teams users has posted on the Microsoft community board that she's a new hire and seeing herself during the meetings is very distracting and exhausting. She added, “As a result, I nearly always turn off my camera for all my meetings, even though this makes it even harder to connect with my colleagues, which is a disappointment as a new hire.".

However, now the company is likely to introduce the new feature to allow Teams users to hide their own video this month. MIcrosoft Teams has shared the same while replying to the users. They replied, "Thank you for your feedback! The team is currently working on introducing this capability."

Meanwhile, the Teams has also rolled out a new feature that automatically deletes recording files stored in OneDrive or SharePoint after a pre-set period of time.

Microsoft launched the new feature in its December updates which also included end-to-end encryption for calls. The new feature allows admins to disable the auto-expiration feature which will be on by default for 60 days. This means the recorded video will be available till 60 days only if no action is taken.
