OnePlus 7 Pro, OnePlus 7 India launch date officially revealed: Here’s what to expect from the new flagship phones

OnePlus on Tuesday announced the launch date for its next flagship smartphone. OnePlus 7, OnePlus 7 Pro will launch on May 14. The launch event will take place in India on May 14.

'OnePlus 7 series' launch event is scheduled to take place at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre, Bengaluru. The event is scheduled to start at 8:15 pm IST. OnePlus will also start selling the entry tickets for the launch event from April 25 through this link. Amazon India has also launched the OnePlus 7 product page along with the 'Notify Me' button.

Ahead of the launch date announcement, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau revealed some key details while confirming OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro. Lau said the high-end OnePlus 7 Pro will feature an upgrade display, a component the company spent thrice more than the previous models. He further added that the display on OnePlus 7 Pro will be "super-smooth and very crisp".

Lau also confirmed there would be a 5G variant of OnePlus 7 Pro. With two premium OnePlus 7 Pro phones, prices are also expected to get higher this time. Leaks also suggest the same with OnePlus 7 Pro expected to sport a 6.64-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED curved display, pop-up selfie camera, and a triple-camera setup.

The smartphone could pair a 48-megapixel primary sensor with a telephoto lens and ultra-wide angle lens. OnePlus 7 Pro is also said to house a 4,000mAh battery with 30W Warp Charge.

The Chinese company will also launch OnePlus 7 with expected features like 6.4-inch AMOLED flat display and a waterdrop-styled notch. OnePlus 7 is also expected to offer a 48-megapixel primary sensor on a dual-camera setup.
