The tech world revolved mostly around the ongoing protests in the US. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey backed the platform’s decision to take down Trump’s tribute video for George Floyd. In the Facebook universe, Zuckerberg wrote a long post on why he decided to not remove Trump’s post. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his response to a customer who had a problem with the Black Lives Matter banner.

In other tech news, there was a leak revealing the possible date for the Galaxy Note 20 launch. Speaking of leaks, there was one for the Mi Band 5 that’s launching on June 11.

Trump vs Twitter

Twitter removed Donald Trump’s tribute video to George Floyd. Trump as expected lashed out at Twitter but CEO Jack Dorsey clarified that the video was removed because there was a copyright complaint.

Zuckerberg to employees

Mark Zuckerberg has disappointed his employees with his decision to not remove Trump’s questionable posts, something Twitter did. Facebook employees even staged a virtual walkout while some quit the company. Zuckerberg had an hour-and-a-half long call with his employees explaining his decision. Jeff Bezos on racism

Jeff Bezos shared the screenshot of an email he received from a customer who was angry at Amazon displaying Black Lives Matter on its website. Bezos also shared his response on Instagram where he talked about his views on racism and the ongoing situation in the US.

Galaxy Note 20 launch date

Samsung could launch the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Fold 2 on August 5. Samsung could unveil other products like a new Galaxy Watch. There were reports that Samsung is on track to launch the Galaxy Note 20 which takes place every August. This would however be a virtual event, a first for Samsung.

Mi Band 5 leak

As the launch date comes closer we get to know more about the Mi Band 5. The latest leak reveals the Mi Band 5 will come with global NFC support, custom DND and a stress management mode. Global NFC seems accurate since Mi Band 5 is rumoured to support Google Pay. Xiaomi is launching the Mi Band 5 on June 11.
