WhatsApp Group Calls Feature: Don't worry about disturbing anyone, you will not be embarrassed now

After cementing its place permanently in billions of users' smartphones (it has an active user base of 2 bn), WhatsApp is looking to make sure no cracks are allowed to develop between them and itself, which could lead to a fall in numbers. It does get into controversies, but this app looks to work hard to retain its position as one of the most popular messaging apps in the world. This it does by rolling out new features constantly in order to provide something new and of utility value to its subscribers. Take the latest one for example, that is in the news. WhatsApp not only enables users to make individual calls to their friends and families but it also allows them to make group calls. However, many times we miss those group calls when they are made and calling on the missed group call notification only leads to the entire conversation getting disrupted. WhatsApp has recognised the problem and it has rolled out a feature update to Joinable Group calls.

What is new with WhatsApp group calls: Joinable Group Calls enable users to join a group call, both audio and video once they have missed. The new WhatsApp feature allows the late users to join without disrupting the conversation even while it is still going on. This new feature will definitely save a lot of embarrassment for WhatsApp users. Also, when trying to join an ongoing WhatsApp group call, users will see the entire list of joinees. They will get the option to either join the call or ignore it. The best part is that this update is available in both  Android and iOS-based apps.

How to join a missed group video call on Android:

Step 1: Open WhatsApp.

Step 2: Tap the Calls tab.

Step 3: If the call is in progress, tap the call you want to join. This will open the screen with call details.

Step 4: From the call menu, tap JOIN CALL .
