Windows 11: MS Paint app gets new design features- details inside

People have been using MS Paint application for years and it not only allowed children and adults to showcase their creativity, but also enabled them to learn with some entertainment and get a lot of other work done. Microsoft has recently announced that it has rolled out an update to the Paint App for Windows 11. The company said in a blog post, "Hello Windows Insiders, today we are beginning to roll out an update to the Paint app for Windows 11 to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. This update includes a good set of changes and improvements we think the community will enjoy!" As per the information provided by the company updates have been made to "Edit Color", "Resize and Skew", and other dialogs to match the style of the new Windows 11 design and fit in with the new Paint app backdrop.

Along with the above mentioned updates Microsoft has also made certain additional fixes as well. It can be noted that the update has been rolled out on November 30, 2021. Here are the additional fixes that have been made by the company:

1. Shift-click on a color swatch will now select that color as your secondary color.

2. Fixed an issue where text boxes would move unexpectedly when using IME.

3. Fixed an issue where some dialogs were not properly localized in Hebrew, Dutch, Norwegian, and other languages.

4. Improved support for screen readers.

Micorodft has also invited feedback on the same. "As always, we love getting feedback and will be looking out for your thoughts, so share your suggestions in Feedback Hub (under Apps > Paint)," it said in the blog post.

Microsoft has also released Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22509 to the Dev Channel xon Wednesday (December 1, 2021). According to the company browsing the web in Microsoft Edge with Narrator is now easier.

"We have been working on a collection of improvements to web browsing with Microsoft Edge and Narrator. Specifically, typing in edit fields should now be faster, when navigating around the web more useful information is provided, and lastly you will have a more consistent navigation experience with Narrator," the company said in a blog post.

Microsoft has also made it easier to type in edit fields, such as the address bar, because Narrator scan mode will now turn off faster. Specifically, if you press Ctrl + L to jump to the address bar, you should be able to start typing immediately because scan mode will turn off sooner.

"This improvement will also help when filling in form fields such as typing your name and address in different edit boxes. In addition to making it easier to type into edit fields, we have also made it easier to delete in edit fields. Narrator will now read the character that the cursor position is at after a character has been deleted. In other words, if the cursor is on the “h” of “hello” and you press delete, Narrator will speak “e”," it said.
