Xiaomi to launch its Mi Portable Electric Air compressor in India on July 14

While most of us know Xiaomi for its smartphones and for home appliances, the company is into a lot more segments than one can possibly imagine. And a piece of it will soon show up in the Indian markets. We’re talking about the Mi Portable Electric Air compressor, which is already available in China but has now been teased for a launch in India on July 14. The teaser video was dropped earlier today by the Xiaomi India’s Twitter handle. “A compact and portable piece of #SmartTech is coming your way,” stated the tweet.

Although the price is still a guess for now, the device in the UK costs GBP 39.99 (roughly Rs. 3,700) so one can expect it to be priced in the same range in India as well.

So how does the Mi Portable Electric Air compressor work? The alloy die-casting cylinder inflates road bike tyres and bicycle tyres as well. It can be pressurised up to 150 psi and can also inflate football and car tyre. The air compressor also has a LED light, a display to show the psi levels, a Micro USB charging port and a 2,000mAh battery.

Meanwhile, the Chinese tech firm has announced that it is hosting a global Ecosystem Product Launch 2020 event on July 15. It will begin from at 8pm GMT+8 (5:30pm IST) and will be showcased on the company’s YouTube and social media channels. During the event, Xiaomi is expected to reveal its much-anticipated Mi TV Stick. We are also expecting the launch of Xiaomi Mi Band 5 Mi Electric Scooter 1s and 34-inch curved monitor.
