Global PUBG PC eSports Festival kicks off, winners to get $3.5 million

The four top-ranked teams at the Weekly Finals will take home a $3.5 million prize pot.

Krafton today kicked off the PUBG Global Invitational.S (PGI.S). The two-month-long global online hybrid tournament began on February 5 and it will go on until March 28. In the ongoing global tournament, 32 rosters from eight different regions will participate in weekly showdowns with prize money increasing as the competition progresses.

Krafton hosted Rank Decision matches from February 5 to February 7 wherein the highest-ranking 16 teams were promoted to participate in Weekly Survival matches starting February 8 to battle it out for a place in the Weekly Grand Finals. These weekly survival matches will start at 3:30PM IST.

While the Survival Matches will take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, the Weekly Finals Matches will take place every Saturday and Sunday. The four top-ranked teams at the Weekly Finals will take home a $3.5 million prize pot.

While the tournament is primarily being held offline at Studio Paradise in Incheon, South Korea, all the matches in the tournament will be broadcasted globally on various platforms in over 17 languages. Krafton has partnered with NODWIN Gaming to offer Hindi broadcasts via local streamers, which includes Gamingpro Ocean, NODWIN Gaming, PAiN FyXs, Sparky Gaming and Ansh TY.

Krafton also said that it will once again be holding the Pick'Em Challenge wherein fans predict the winner of PGI.S in order to win prizes. Fans can earn free voting coupons, and purchase PGI.S items, by visiting the in-game esports tab.
