Nokia 2.4 smartphone to launch in India soon, HMD teases

Look like HMD is gearing up to launch a new budget Nokia smartphone in India, Nokia 2.4. this is not a new handset but something that has been launched before as well in select regions. Now, Nokia Mobile India has tweeted a short video, showcasing the outline of the smartphone's back panel and the camera setup. It also mentions that the launch is 10 days away, which come down to November 26 as the date when we will see the handset officially hitting the Indian shelves.

In case you haven't been following, Nokia 2.4 came along side Nokia 3.4 in Europe in September this year. Although there's no India price mentioned for the smartphone yet, estimations are that it could cost somewhere around EUR 119, which is roughly Rs. 10,500 or a bit more. It also comes in two variants - 2GB RAM + 32GB storage and 3GB RAM + 64GB storage, so the price might be under 15,000. Who knows?

Nokia 2.4 specifications

The smartphone features a 6.5-inch HD+ display with a notch on top. Powering it is the MediaTek Helio P22 chipset along with 2GB/3GB RAM and 32GB/64GB storage. The device is also Android 11 ready so it might be possible that the device could run on Android 11 out of the box by the time it reaches the hands of Indian customers.

You get dual camera setup comprising of a 3-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. There is also a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies. Backing the entire device is a 4,500mAh battery. You also get a fingerprint sensor at the back.
