Ahead of the launch on September 8, Poco has started teasing its upcoming phone, Poco M2.

Poco earlier this week teased the launch of a new smartphone in India. Poco M2 which is most likely an affordable version of the Poco M2 Pro will launch in India on September 8. Poco has now revealed some details on its upcoming budget phone.

Poco M2 is confirmed to feature a full HD+ display. The screen size hasn’t been revealed though. For reference, the Poco M2 Pro comes with a 6.67-inch full HD+ display. Poco also confirmed its new smartphone will pack 6GB of RAM which could be the top-end variant of the phone. The company also said that the Poco M2 will be the most affordable 6GB RAM phone. More details on the Poco M2 will be revealed later today on the smartphone’s Flipkart teaser page.

Poco M2 is scheduled to launch in India on September 8 with the event starting at 12 PM. Just a day ahead on September 7, Poco will launch its X3 smartphone. This will be a global launch for the Poco X3 but it is expected to launch in India as well.

As for the Poco M2, the smartphone is most likely a more affordable version of the Poco M2 Pro. It comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor with up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Poco M2 Pro has a 5,000mAh battery, and it has India’s NavIC navigation system.

Poco M2 Pro sports a quad-camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, 5-megapixel macro sensor, and 2-megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, there’s a 16-megapixel front camera. Poco M2 Pro is the company’s budget offering with its price starting at 13,999 in india.
