Airtel Down is trending on Twitter! Earlier in the day, Airtel's network and services were down across the country for almost an hour. Whether it was the mobile network or broadband Wi-Fi services, all services were down from around 11 am for several customers across India. Airtel confirmed the same later on a social media post, saying that its network was down. However, it says the service are back up and running.

Data from Downdetector.com shows complaints on Airtel's services peaking from around 12 pm across the country. The outage started from around 11am, when we faced service unavailability on Airtel Xstream broadband service. Later, the mobile networks were also found down. The data shows that outage affected almost 6,200 people at around 12 am.

#AirtelDown trends on Twitter after network outage

Soon after the networks went down, customers took to Twitter to complain about the issue using the hashtag #AirtelDown. Memes started pouring in, while several customers expressed their displeasure. It was said that even the Airtel app and its customer care services were down during the brief outage. People from across the country faced these issues – from Delhi to Hyderabad to the far south, incidents of Airtel outage were reported.

However, Airtel India quickly acknowledged the issue and confirmed a fix. The services are now back up and running normally.

“Our internet services had a brief disruption and we deeply regret the inconvenience this may have caused you. Everything is back as normal now, as our teams keep working to deliver a seamless experience to our customers,” said Airtel on its social media post.

In another report by Gadgets360, Airtel confirmed that its services were down due to a technical glitch that was resolved within minutes.
