OnePlus on Tuesday announced the roll out of OxygenOS 5.1.9 software update for OnePlus 6 users. The highlight of the latest update is the improvements to the camera. OnePlus has also announced integrating Google's Artificial Intelligence-based Google Lens in OnePlus 6's native camera application.

According to OnePlus, the latest OxygenOS 5.1.9 software update brings "clarity, dynamic range, edge detection in portrait mode and overall focusing speed and accuracy."

The Google Lens integration means OnePlus 6 users can now use the camera app to surface information about the objects by just pointing at them. Google Lens uses machine learning algorithms to provide the information and also show relevant search tags.

Apart from surfacing the information about the objects, OnePlus 6 users can use the camera to scan QR codes and use Google Lens' image recognition tool to get more information about things like art, books and buildings among others.

The latest OxygenOS 5.1.9 software update also brings optimised stability for Wi-Fi connection. It also brings a fix for stability issues with Bluetooth connection for cars. Other key features included in the latest update are -- latest Android security patch (2018.7), fix for accidental touches that triggers gestures (Draw V), and other general bug fixes and improvements.

OnePlus has promised OnePlus 5 and 5T will also be getting the Google Lens update via OTA soon.

"Even after achieving our best-ever DxoMark score of 96 on the software released with the device launch in May 2018, we believe in constantly refining the smartphone experience. With a proven track record of improving software over time, the camera of the OnePlus 6 is no exception," said the company in a note. ALSO READ: OnePlus 5T review
