OPPO A71 (2018) with ‘AI Beauty’ facial recognition tech launched, priced at ₹9,990

OPPO on Monday launched a new version of its popular A71 smartphone in India.

Called OPPO A71, the new smartphone comes with an 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) Beauty' technology that allows the phone to captures more than 200 facial features and makes face recognition more accurate.

The technology enables the 13-megapixel rear camera to capture photos with lesser noise, especially in low-light and dark conditions.

Priced at ₹9,990, the smartphone is available for purchase via online partners - Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal.

"With the launch of OPPO A71(3GB), equipped with AI Beauty Technology and stronger performance we are confident to take our efforts a step-ahead in our selfie journey," said Will Yang, Brand Director, OPPO India.

OPPO A71 specifications

OPPO A71 features a 5.2-inch HD TFT display with 16:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 450 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

For photography, OPPO A71 sports a 5-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel rear camera.

Its connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE support, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.

On the software front, it runs on Color OS 3.2 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. Fueling the smartphone is a 3,000mAh battery with support for fast charging.
